Sustainability
Sustainability is at the forefront of Malakai the Label, guiding everything from our manufacturing methods to our packaging. We are proud to work with an international manufacturer that is accredited by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). This ensures ethical factory practices, safe working conditions and environmental care.
Our materials
We use recycled gold and silver in our pieces. Repurposing post consumer scrap, industrial waste and jewellery production waste. Every piece is carefully crafted to minimise waste and maximise longevity, so your jewellery is made to last many summers to come.
PACKAGING
Our packaging is designed to be as beautiful as the jewellery it holds. Our jewellery comes in our signature velvet shell jewellery boxes, designed to be reused, displayed, and treasured. We ship using recyclable kraft paper mailers and include a thank you card made from recycled paper.
Our Process

Design
Our designs start with hand drawn sketches by our founder Bella in our Perth office. Drawing inspiration from the ocean, summer and her travels.

Production
Our incredible international team transforms Bella’s sketches into precise 3D models. From there, production begins using recycled gold and silver, crafted ethically in our RJC-certified factory.

Finished Product
We embrace slower production times and low order quantities, avoiding over consumption. Once our jewellery arrives in our hands, we bring it to life in our campaign shoots.
